The East Side Townhouse project is collaborative effort between Normal Projects//Michael Chen Architecture & Boston Valley Terra Cotta which began when Michael Chen’s office sent Rhino files to the Design Lab.

The Boston Valley ARCH Design Lab team worked to “rationalize” and optimize the various shapes and sizes of the terra cotta for custom manufacturing.

Working together, Boston Valley ARCH Design Lab and Michael Chen Architecture designers developed the custom shape for the extrusion.
