Sea Creatures Return to Façade of Seaside Park and Community Arts Center
The Seaside Park and Community Arts Center is one step closer to completion. The once dull Coney Island Childs Restaurant’s nautical motif has been restored to its former glory. Each piece — from Poseidon to the sailing ships and sea creatures — have been painstakingly brought back to life through hours of carving and hand-painted finishes.

One of the many colorful glazed terra cotta pieces ready for installation.

The new terra cotta brings the Seaside Park and Community Arts Center back to the building’s original Spanish Revival Style.

The installation of these recreated terra cotta pieces breathe new life into the once vacant structure.
