Experimentation: Milling Some Details With The 5-Axis Router

August 19, 2013/in Blog

Taking our experimentation a step further Boston Valley is creating a rectangular capital backup with some detail. The volutes help to define the extents of the ornate sculpture for the completed model. It will begin to be sculpted next week with images to follow!

Time lapse photos of the milling process

Completed plaster backup form for the model. Sculptors will add the additional details using clay and/or plasticine.
