Mammoth Units Recreated in Boston Valley’s Mold Shop

June 20, 2014/in Blog, Northeastern University

Boston Valley’s mold shop sculptors are hard at work recreating the extremely large water table units for the restoration at Northeastern University’s Hastings Building. The model, shown in the below photo, is approximately 8% larger than the original which comes in at 43-7/8″ by 44-3/8″. This large unit will have a mold cast from it which will then be hand-packed with clay.
