This year Boston Valley Terra Cotta was named Innovator of the Year by The Architect’s Newspaper. The inaugural Design Gala took place earlier this month at the Bowery Savings Bank in New York City in an effort to celebrate all aspects in architecture.
Boston Valley attended the event to accept the Innovator of the Year award on behalf of everybody at our company. We are continually committed to being at the cutting edge of architectural terra cotta manufacturing by developing innovative façades for projects like the curved TerraClad® Rainscreen on COOKFOX’s 512 West 22nd Street. Our dedication to pushing the limits of architectural terra cotta is evident in the success of the ACAWWorkshop, now entering its fifth year.
The awardees of the gala were selected by a 22-person voting committee—many of whom were members of AN’s jury for the 2019 Best of Design Awards—and were recognized in seven categories. … Buffalo-based terra-cotta manufacturer Boston Valley Terra Cotta was honored with Innovator of the Year.

The curved TerraClad® façade on COOKFOX’s 512 West 22nd St is exemplary of what is possible with the innovative manufacturing capabilities of Boston Valley Terra Cotta.
